yo i've been trying to get your site to work for a few hours now and nothing no torrents download your bookmarklet thing doesn't work and its just ridiculous that this is on PC Magazines best free software... in fact most of the softwares on there don't work to well so I say don't read PC Magazine for anything anymore :p
Hello anonymous, I'm sorry you didn't get it working.
If you give us more details, we can try to help you.
It would be great if you could tell us your OS, your browser, your java virtual machine version and some detail about your problem.
Thank you,
Daniele
I use Windows XP Professional and I use Mozilla SeaMonkey for my browser. i can get past the Directory choosing part but once it starts to download my browser just closes down. I've tried it onIE7 and same thing the browser closes down and gives me that windows error saying send report or not. I've also tried to reinstall the mozilla and that didn't work either.
also.. not sure how to find out what my Java virtual machine is and not sure how to find that information for u either.
Hello anonymous, could you please try visiting this site?
It should display your VM version in the middle of the page.
Thank you
Hi guys, great work on creating BitLet. However I'm experiencing a very strange bug. I get a torrent URL, past it into BitLet, choose a directory to download it to and let it reach 100%.
Then I tried finding the file but without any luck. I used Windows Explorer, command prompt, nothing. Tried looking for hidden files and protected system files, but still nothing.
However, if I fire up BitLet again and try to download a new torrent, the old torrent's directory shows up the the directory choosing popup.
This is weird!!
I'm using Vista Home and my Java VM is 1.6.0_05. Do you think you guys can help? I even tried running a full search in the drive for the name of the downloaded file, but nothing... :-(
Cheers :)
I want to congratulate you guys on the amazing innovation and efficient innovation.
It does, what is says, efficiently. I have already downloaded 3-4 torrents using this. Using this is a breeze.
I see some problems with some people here, i dont understand what's the problem..But, it worked for me, thanks.
It would be bad if i didnot atleast post a comment to you guys.
SO, here are my warm wishes.
And considering the Webware awards, there is almost sure-chance for getting into the top.I voted on this early and i voted for you guyz.

Hello, I think the bug you noticed is because on IE 7 with Vista the applet runs in 'protected mode'.
Basically the file is downloaded in a different place than you expected for *security* reason.
You could find more infos here.
Note also that a bug has been already filed to sun and it should be fixed with the release 6u10(b08) of the JRE.
Daniele
thank you daniele, i was able to download files on vista by turning off the internet protected mode.
