Bitlet migrates to mininova servers

First of all, we would like to start this post with a huge thank to Gregory Gumo (from Fenopy) for providing us with hosting for bitlet so far.

He dealt with many issues, ranging from server-related ones to more "delicate" matters and his huge assistance allowed us to focus on BitLet's development while he took care of the server.
Unfortunately, as you might have noticed, bitlet.org went through some trouble recently, and we had to switch to a new server.

The guys from Mininova kindly offered a new home for bitlet.org, so it's running on a new host.

The only downside with the migration was that since we had to move both the application and the database within a few hours, and we had to sacrifice the download history in order to avoid a longer downtime. We apologize for any inconvenience it might have caused you.

Hello Dear Bitlet,

I would like to let you know that no matter how many times and different ways I visit http://www.bitlet.org/
it never loads saying "IExplorer Couldn't Find" in other words your website is currently down. I have been constantly rechecking and it never loads. Please take your time to fix this error. I need BitLet!!!

I've been using bitlet for a big week now. And i like it...
There's just one thing i noticed...
I use it at work so at the end of the day (or when the boss comes around) I have to close it.
Luckely there's resume, but many times when i'm for example at 35percent, it restarts at 31 percent, so he loses like 50mb's
Is there something i do wrong?

Hello anonymous, you're not doing anything wrong.
Bitlet resumes only the completed pieces, so if you shut down the download while some pieces are incomplete, you will lose them.

Hello Anonymous,
I'm sorry but I'm afraid that the ps3 browser hasn't a Java Virtual Machine.

Can I use bitlet through a proxy site like Donutmaze.com or anything of the like? I believe those are PHP-Proxies.

It is also advisable to go through user reviews before you select a hosting to get the best value for your money.

You should be careful in choosing your servers, otherwise you'd be losing data or having an unreliable host.

There are servers with excruciatingly-long downtime, which is a strong evidence that they are unreliable.

I believe it's a good move. Migrating to that server might help you organize your website well.

Is this a merge in their system and servers? Mininova has been a great torrent search engine for some time until they were caught.
